We Have A Winner!

I had intended to complete the description of the move selection algorithm with details of the circuitry that controls the main uniselector U1.  However, I've yet to fully understand this, so instead we'll take a look at the circuitry that evaluates who has won.

This circuit is detailed in the AUTOX articles as follows, as you can see the switches associated with machine win are annotated with ticks, whereas those for the player win are not.

The circuit implemented in the Computox is a bit more complex.

Firstly the lamps are decoupled from the evaluation circuit by the W and relays rather than being directly connected.  Secondly, a couple of the switch selection lines are re-arranged to allow the reuse of one switch in the assessment of multiple win conditions.  In one instance this requires the use of a diode.  Finally, in addition to the two documented player win tests, there is a link to the switch HXB-B2.  At the moment the reason for this is unknown, and no further links to the other side of this switch have been found.  As we will see, this is one of many remaining little mysteries.
